Quantifying the ROI of Human Resource Management

Part of the Talent Management Series series

Overview:

Tuesday, December 11, 2007

8:30 - 3:00

Edgewood College Deming Way Campus - 1255 Deming Way

“People may not be able to quantify all of the things that we do, or have done here.
But I'll tell you this much, they will be able to quantify what happens if we stop doing them.”

--- Bill Schrum

All successful businesses understand that human capital is the largest cost category for their company and, as such, needs to be better recognized and developed as a true asset.   Yet, to this day, few people (including HR directors) can articulate how managing and sometimes increasing human capital costs can improve an organization.

This session will provide some insight and practical information on workforce analysis and metrics that participants can use immediately.  Bill Schrum is an expert in this subject matter with over 30 years of first hand experience.  In his career, Mr. Schrum has created real human capital measurement initiatives by partnering with business executives to select metrics that link HR and corporate strategies to demonstrate Human Resources' value to any organization.  You will hear real world advice on workforce analysis and metrics and be provided with a roadmap to help you improve human capital measurement in your organization.

Learning Objective:

Among the things you gain from this session:

  1. Critical metrics for articulating the return on human capital investments.
  2. Methodology for developing the data into information into knowledge into understanding to truly drive decisions with data.
  3. Developing predictors for future metric outcomes.
  4. Communicating the business impact of human capital metrics.
