Studio Workshop: Conservation Methods for Art Environments
Part of the Teacher Education Series seriesOverview:Introduction to conservation methods at Fred Smith's Concrete Park, Phillips, Wisconsin. Emphasis will be placed on the history of the park and the many processes of its ongoing conservation needs. A slide overview of the park, as well as other environments in and out of the state will be part of the class.

Learning Objective:- To expose students to the problem solving process of site conservation and provide a wide historical understanding of the subject matter.
- To provide real world experience of hands-on materials, techniques, tools, and sculpture process in conservation unique to these sites.
- To set goals and mentor the students to achieve an understanding of personal development.
