Ken Macur, PhD
Dr. Kenneth M. Macur, CPA is a Professor of Accounting and Information Systems at Edgewood College in Madison, WI. He also manages a small strategic management consulting practice.Within the accounting curriculum, he has taught every topic with the exception of tax. He has taught at the University of Illinois, UW-Whitewater, UW-Milwaukee and Edgewood College. He led a team that yielded the best CPA exam pass rates in the country (at UW-Whitewater). His teaching evaluations are consistently at the top of the rating system. He has received over a dozen awards for teaching.
His research has focused on learning and curriculum development, especially in the field of accounting and information systems. His work in this area was recognized by the WICPA in 2000 when he received the Institute’s “Innovative User of Technology Award.” His work was detailed in July 2000 issue of The Wisconsin CPA in an article titled, “Ken Macur, CPA: Information Systems Pioneer.”
He has a BS (accountancy), an MBA (finance), and a PhD (accountancy), all from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
