Jim Christensen
Jim Christensen founded StatOrg Services, LLC in 2005 after over 30 years in the corporate world. StatOrg Services, LLC is a performance consulting business that helps its clients deliver more value to their customers by reducing waste and increasing quality. Consulting follows the Baldrige Quality award criteria along with Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques. Jim is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt that saved Alliant Energy over $1.3 million annually as he completed improvement projects. He also is serving as an Examiner in the Wisconsin Forward Award program (state Baldrige Quality Award program).Jim holds a Master’s in Public Administration degree from Syracuse University and a Bachelor’s degree from Colgate University. In his 27 years with Alliant Energy he functioned as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, managed the research and technology program, served as the corporate representative to Federal and Regulatory agencies, and held financial positions. His career also includes 5 years in Illinois state government, and experience in the banking and automotive industries.
Jim’s work with clients includes the development and presentation of a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt program for Wick Building Systems, project work with MATC along with serving as a resource in MATC’s Business, Industry, and Community Services program. He also assisted the First Unitarian Society in their development of a facilities project to secure membership approvals to preserve the historic landmark Meeting House designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and develop the concepts for a sustainable, green addition that will nearly double the size of the campus at a cost of over $8 million. Jim also played a role in the development of a successful $5 million capital campaign to secure the overall financing for the project which broke ground in June 2007. Jim has developed several project ideas with Meriter, St. Mary’s Hospital, WPS Insurance, and is assisting Edgewood College with the development of executive education offerings.
