Faculty & Staff

Daniel A. Schroeder, PhD

Dr. Daniel A. Schroeder serves as Coordinator of the Organizational Behavior program at Edgewood College (Madison, WI). Additionally, he is a Partner and Consulting Psychologist with Organization Development Consultants, Inc. (ODC), recognized as one of Wisconsin’s top management consulting firms with offices in Madison and Milwaukee.

Dr. Schroeder possesses more than fifteen years of diverse professional experience in industrial/organizational (I/O) psychology. Prior to affiliating with Edgewood, he had been a faculty member within the University of Wisconsin System and at Alverno College (Milwaukee, WI). Prior to co founding ODC in 1994, he worked as a management consultant, initially for a Chicago based firm and later for one situated in Milwaukee. For each of these groups, he completed a wide range of projects relating to employee selection/placement, training/development, productivity improvement programming, and organizational analysis/development.

Dr. Schroeder's professional interests include organizational systems analysis, organizational behavior modification, high performance learning systems, employee selection, and employee motivation/job satisfaction. During his career, he has written more than 100 articles and given more than 100 presentations to professional audiences. Having taught over 100 semesters of undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education courses, he is an accomplished adult educator and is listed in Who's Who Among America's Teachers.

Dr. Schroeder is active in numerous local and national professional organizations in the areas of psychology, management, and training. In 1998, The Business Journal included him on its list of "Forty under Forty," individuals who are "making a difference in their professions and communities" in Southeastern Wisconsin. His "HR Connection" column is featured in Small Business Times, a business periodical with a circulation throughout southern Wisconsin. He is a judge for the Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Business Ethics and Integrity.

Dr. Schroeder earned his terminal and bachelor's degrees in the University of Wisconsin System. His master's degree was granted by Western Michigan University. He is a licensed psychologist in the State of Wisconsin. He holds board certifications in psychology from the American Board of Psychological Specialties in organizational and business consulting psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology.
